Until now, your agent lived entirely in the cloud. It could browse the web, send emails, manage your calendar. But reaching tools on your actual computer required port forwarding, cloud hosting, or other technical gymnastics.
Agency Link changes that. It's a lightweight Mac menu bar app that bridges your local tools to your agent through a secure tunnel. Your agent can now interact with things running on your machine as naturally as it uses any other app.
How it works
- Go to Settings > MCP Servers and generate a pairing code
- Download Agency Link and enter the code
- Add your local MCP servers or browse the library for popular ones
- They show up in your agent's toolkit automatically
That's it. No servers to host, no ports to open, no DNS to configure. Agency Link opens a secure outbound connection from your Mac to The Agency. Your agent's requests flow down that tunnel, hit the local tool, and the response flows back up.

What can you connect?
Agency Link supports any MCP server, the open standard for giving AI access to tools and data. The ecosystem is growing fast, and there's a built-in library to get you started:

A few examples of what you can connect:
- Obsidian. Let your agent search and reference your notes.
- Chrome DevTools. Debug and inspect browser tabs and network requests.
- Filesystem. Read and search files on your computer.
- macOS Automator. Run AppleScript and JavaScript automations.
- Siri Shortcuts. Trigger your existing shortcuts from chat.
If there's an MCP server for it, your agent can use it.
Runs quietly in the background
Agency Link lives in your menu bar. It shows you which tools are connected, whether your device is online, and that's about it. It reconnects automatically if your network drops and stays out of your way. Turn on Launch at Login in settings and it starts automatically when you boot your Mac — no need to remember to open it.
Security
Your machine never exposes any ports. Agency Link only makes outbound connections over TLS to our relay infrastructure. Your device token is stored in macOS Keychain and can be revoked from the web app at any time. All the same safety filters that apply to cloud tools apply to local ones too.
Getting started
Agency Link is available now for Mac as part of the Elite subscription. Go to Settings > MCP Servers in the web app to download it, pair your device, and start connecting local tools.
